Chapter 3

• Chloe followed him, even though he was a stranger who had just saved her life.
• Chloe and Kael sat in Kael's Chambers several drinks deep into the night. They're both visibly intoxicated, and their conversation has taken a bitter turn.
• "You should be happy you have a life. Some of us would kill for a long life. Chloe." Kael said sarcastically
• "Wow, Kael, that's some deep insight, What's life when you don't have anything left? I've lost my kingdom, I've lost everything," Chloe replied.
• Kael rolled his eyes and downed another shot.
• "I mean it! I wish I had a long life like you maybe I'll appreciate life more."
• "Gosh, you don't know how hurt I am. You don't know what I've been through since I was a child. I've been hurt, I've been used, I've been betrayed, I've been rejected." Chloe cried and Kael patted her shoulder.
• "And can it be compared to someone who had been cursed? I've been cursed by the Moon goddess for something I don't even know about.
• Their voices rose as the tension between them built. Kael leaned forward, his face inches from Chloe.
• "You know what?" Kael gritted his teeth.
