Chapter 1

• Chloe Solace wore her blue robe which her maids brought to her chambers, sat down on her bed, and sighed. They were having a big party today and her wedding too which meant everyone in the kingdom would be present and she didn't want to show her face.
• She was already tired of the gossip about her. The stink eyes and the pointing of fingers have turned into a tradition whenever the people of Night Walker Pack saw her.
• Chloe Solace was the daughter of Henry Solace, the Alpha of the Night Walker kingdom. She's of average height, her hair is black and curly and her eyes are green which was weird in her pack. She was the only one with green eyes and it felt more like a curse. She was twenty-one and she had never changed into her wolf form, not even once in her lifetime. She doesn't even know what it feels like to change into her wolf form.
• Sometimes she doubted if she was a wolf, maybe she was adopted and her parents refused to tell her. Her mother died a long time ago. Her father told her she died while giving birth to her. Her father died when she was five which made her a Luna at a very young age. Some called her the wolfless girl while others called her cursed. She was tired and now her ears were full. She was scared someone might kill her and take her position so she decided to get married to her childhood friend and she'll be stepping down from her position to make him the Alpha.
• "My Lady, it's time for you to go out." One of her maids entered the room and bowed. They were celebrating their annual feast and Chloe was going to be getting married today to her crush and childhood friend, Aiden, son of the Beta of her clan. He was handsome and he looked older than his age. He was taller than her and hefty. His well-trimmed beard also made him very attractive. He was the only one who had accepted her for who she was all these years. He was always there for her and supported her. Even though everyone would laugh at them, he always stood by her.
• "Thanks." Chloe sighed again and went outside immediately.
• She held her robe so she wouldn't step on it as she walked outside. Immediately the crowd spotted her, the vibes died down.
• "Sam! I think we should hurry up with the wedding so I can leave." She whispered as she sat down on her chair while Sam, her loyal guard stood by her side. The crowd was a few steps away from her. Their chairs were above the stairs and it divided her from the crowd.
• "No, my Queen. I'm sure your wolf would come out today, you're getting married. Be happy!" He said with so much enthusiasm.
• "That's what you've been telling me since I was eighteen. Let's give up about that Sam." She said and he rolled his eyes.
• "Go meet him, my Queen."
• She walked to where Aiden was standing and waiting for her. He was also clad in a Blue robe. She was happy that this was finally happening. She was going to get married to Aiden. At least she won't be called a loser anymore.
• She stood in front of him but his face was without emotions. He wasn't smiling and his eyes were red and swollen.
• "What's wrong?" She asked and the entertainers started playing music, preventing her from hearing what he was saying.
• "I can't hear you. You have to speak louder." She yelled.
• The music stopped playing and everyone's attention was on her.
• "I reject you Chloe Solace as my mate. I'm sorry I can't do this." He said and she smiled.
• "Stop this joke. I'm not in for it today." She hit his arms playfully. He has always been a joker. He joked about everything.
• "How dare you reject the Luna?" Sam yelled ready to attack.
• "I'm sorry Chloe. I can't marry a wolfless woman. It would be a disgrace and a stain to my honor and dignity." He said and a tear dropped from her eye.
• "What is he saying? I thought he was different from the others. I thought he loved me for who I am." She thought to herself.
• "I'm sorry. I'm in love with someone else." He said. Her friend emerged from the crowd wearing a white armless gown that was above her knee with a pearl necklace on her neck.
• Everyone started laughing and murmuring.
• "Lydia, my best friend?" She asked.
• "How dare you?" She gagged as she tried to hit him but he held her hands tightly before it could even touch his face.
• "I am still the Luna of this pack and I won't allow you to talk to me without respect. Show your respect." Chloe yelled and he laughed harder, rubbing his tummy.
• "I will never respect a wolfless Luna. Better put it in mind that no one would ever respect you here." He said letting go of her hand and others nodded in agreement.
• She turned to face her best friend Lydia. Lydia has always been there for her too. She stood by her during difficult times. Chloe had tried to commit suicide once and Lydia and Aiden came to the rescue. Had she been living a lie?
• "Was that why you were absent at my bridal preparation, pretending to be sick so you could betray me like this?" She asked Lydia
• "I'm sorry Chloe but Aiden and I love each other. What we have for each other is strong." Lydia said as she bowed.
• How did they change? They were always supportive. They were her best friends.
• "I'm now the new Alpha of the Night Walker Pack and Lydia is my Luna," Aiden announced which made Chloe's heart sink.
• "We won't support a wolfless princess. We won't support a wolfless princess." The people of Night Walker Pack chanted breaking her from her thoughts and she ran away with tears in her eyes. She ran into her room and shut the door. This was too much to bear and it wasn't her fault.
• It wasn't her fault she had never turned to her wolf form. It wasn't her fault she was an orphan.
• "Enough is enough." Chloe breathed.
• She stood up and took off her robe. She wore black leather jeans trousers and a top. She took out a small bag and packed some clothes and money in them.
• "I'm going to end it all. There's no point in staying here anymore. I've lost it all." Chloe said as she tiptoed out of her room.
• Before she could run out she was seized.
• "What is it? What else do you want from me? I've been stripped of my position as the Luna already." She yelled.
• "We have been asked to arrest you and lock you up." One of the guards spoke.
• "What? Did Aiden put you up to this?" She yelled as she was being pulled away while she struggled to get out of their grip.
• There was no one to help her, no one on her side. She had been betrayed and rejected by the man who claimed to love and understand her pain and her position as the Luna of her kingdom has been taken away from her. Her birthright!
