Chapter 39 Level 1 Zombie

• Philip’s gaze landed on the figure that was standing where they were initially. Previously, due to the sudden attack, and the fast speed of this creature, Philip could not clearly see what had attacked them. But now, as his eyes landed on the figure, he was momentarily stunned.
• The creature was female, or at least had been once. Her face was disturbingly human, unscarred, without the disgusting blood or the expression full of madness, carrying a beauty that would have been the center of attention before the apocalypse.
• But those eyes that were staring at them shattered that illusion, burning red, sharp and unblinking, like twin embers fixed on prey. Philip felt them pierce straight through him like a predator’s gaze wrapped in a human shell.
