Chapter 45

• I was starting to believe that Theron might very well be the devil in human form. At the very least, I seriously began to consider getting a gym membership because my body, with all its soft, untrained weakness, was no match for his relentless, almost supernatural stamina. And true to his word, he didn’t hold back. I’d lost count of how many times I had screamed his name.

• He had to hold me up in the shower afterward, cradling me against his chest while he gently lathered soap over my aching skin. That was the downside of giving in to his hunger in his office we had no access to a bathtub. Then again, if he had a tub in there, I doubted we would’ve left the building at all during the weekend.
