• “So? What did you say?” Romilly’s voice rang through the speakerphone the moment I stepped into my apartment. I hadn’t even changed out of my dress before calling her to recount my bizarre dinner with Renzo. Naturally, she sounded far too amused.
• I exhaled sharply, unzipping my dress as I walked toward the closet. “What do you think I said? I told him no.”
