• Heat surged through my veins like molten steel as I stared through the two-way mirror at Kincade Thayer and Amaris. He was lying I knew it in my gut. But Ami didn’t deny knowing him. She didn’t argue that she had made deliveries to him. Still, the look on her face told me everything. Her hands were balled into fists, her expression twisted with revulsion.
