- “Don’t trip. Don’t trip. Don’t trip,” I murmured beneath my breath, balancing precariously on five-inch heels as I made my way forward.
- That one-day crash course in high-society survival that Indira had shoved me through better pay off. My hair looked like it had been styled by a celebrity team, my skin glowed like glass, and for once in my life, I felt like I could pass for flawless at least on the outside.
