Chapter 43 Kill Him
- The following morning, Kael stepped into the long, carpeted hallway of the cruiser’s hotel wing dressed in a white room-service uniform. The disguise wasn’t just for show. Every step, every plate balanced on the trolley in front of him, was part of a larger plan. He wasn’t here to deliver food. He was here to map out the ship from the inside — the guard rotations, the hidden corridors, the locked compartments nobody was supposed to see.
- His earpiece clicked once. Malek’s voice came through, “Hallway clean?”
- Kael pressed a finger against his collar as he moved. “Clean. Two guards passed earlier, but they’re on the east wing now. Keep your men spread. We’re not looking for noise yet.”
