• He held up a hand to silence her and she instantly fell silent. He stood up from the chair and despite how upset I was with him, I could still appreciate his physique and the way he seemed to fill up the room. He started walking towards me and my heart began to beat like I was running a marathon. I reached out to grab his secretary for stability but when I turned, she had disappeared leaving me to face things myself.
• Kaden made his way over to me and he reached out to me but I took a step back. I was not going to let him touch me with the same hands he used to make out with Lucy. My steps were shaky and I had to lean against the wall in order to prevent myself from collapsing due to the pain and betrayal that was coursing through me.
