• He had this expression on, concerned, the face of a guy who really didn't want to be saying what he was about to say but felt he had a responsibility to the pack. He looked at Kaden when he spoke first. That was the thing about Aiden, he was careful. He always started with Kaden, warm and respectful, like he was just one concerned family member talking to another.
• "I think we can all agree that we want what's best for this pack," he announced. "And I think, out of respect for everything you've built here, it's worth having a conversation about the current situation." He paused. Like he was choosing his words. "There are questions circulating. About stability. About the child's parentage. I'm not saying these questions are fair, but they exist, and the pack deserves to know."
