• I regretted my words the moment I saw the three guards that Kaden had arranged for me.
• He had a smile of pride on his face once they arrived and I resisted the urge to roll my eyes. They were quite possibly the biggest and scariest men I had ever seen in my life. One of them had tattoos all over his arm, the other had a mean resting face that could make a grown man piss his pants. The third didn’t look as scary as the others but his sheer size alone was enough to make a person pause.
