• “I’m fine,” I assured her with a small smile. “I just feel a little disoriented from the lost days but I assure you that I am fine.”
• She smiled widely and pulled me into another hug. I couldn’t help but embrace her back because there was something so familiar and welcoming about her scent. She was one constant thing in my life right now and it was a lot easier to focus on her than to focus on the shit storm that was my mated life.
