Chapter 52 Preparing For Two

• At six months along in their second pregnancy, Grace found that the challenges and rewards of preparing for a second child while taking care of a two-and-a-half-year-old were different from those of a first-time pregnancy. While Phoebe played freely in her room, she was trying to work from her home office, occasionally updating her via the baby monitor they had converted into a communication device.
• The monitor showed Phoebe saying, "Mama, Elena making a castle," and then there seemed to be a lot of work going on.
