Chapter 46 New Rhythms
- Three months after Phoebe's birth, Grace realized that life with a newborn had fallen into rhythms that seemed both utterly natural and unlike anything she'd ever experienced before. She was now working part-time from home, having negotiated a phased return to full-time work that met Phoebe's demands as well as her personal adjustment to balancing parenthood and professional commitments.
- "How was your morning?" Max asked when he returned from taking Phoebe to her three-month pediatric appointment and discovered Grace at their dining table, surrounded by budget reports and what appeared to be Phoebe's feeding schedule.
- "Effective. While Phoebe was sleeping, I completed the Morrison project study and was able to arrange two customer calls for the following week. How was the appointment?
