Chapter 19
- Joshua sat in his quarters, fuming over the humiliation he had suffered in front of the werewolf community. His attempt to sway Amara back to his side had not only failed but had left him looking desperate and weak. Every time he replayed her words in his head, his blood boiled. She had rejected him publicly, stripped him of his dignity, and aligned herself with Alpha Xander—an insult he could not let stand.
- Joshua needed a way to turn the tide, to paint Amara as the villain and reclaim his lost standing. He smirked as an idea formed. If he couldn’t win her back, he would destroy her. Reaching for his pen, he began drafting a letter to the werewolf council. His accusations were as bold as they were false: Amara, he wrote, was conspiring with rogue factions to destabilize the packs, using her growing alliances to cover her true intentions.
- By the time the letter was finished, Joshua’s grin had widened. He knew the council wouldn’t ignore such a serious allegation, especially if he framed it as a plea to protect the unity of the packs. Amara had always been a thorn in his side, but now she would be seen as a threat to them all.
