Chapter 15

• The day after Joshua’s humiliating encounter with Amara and Alpha Xander at the club, he found himself seething with frustration and desperation. His reputation was already teetering on the edge after the public revelations of his betrayal. He couldn’t afford to lose the last shred of power he still held over Amara. If he could convince her to come back to him—even if just for appearances—he might be able to salvage his image and regain some control.
• Determined, Joshua stormed into the central hall of the council estate where Amara was meeting with Asher and Xander to discuss rogue attacks near their territories. The room, filled with high-ranking werewolves, fell silent as Joshua’s heavy boots echoed across the marble floor. His hazel eyes locked onto Amara, who stood calmly beside Xander.
• “Amara,” he called out, his voice loud and commanding. “We need to talk.”
