• Thankfully Jose leads me over to where his mother is sitting, and we take a seat beside her. Well, I do anyways. Something must have caught my husband’s eye, because he straightens back up, and excuses himself from the table. “Momma, if you wouldn’t mind to please keep my wife company. I see someone that I am needing to speak with.” He waits until she nods her head, before turning to me. “Abby, I don’t think I need to tell you how important it is that you behave. Do not get up from this table until I come back.”
