Chapter 41
- "This should do for a while, we can relax and hide in here" Tony breathed out, plopping down on the soft couch of the new one-room apartment they acquired. Ruby walked in behind him, her steps full of vigilance as her eyes darted around the small room, she noticed the dorm-style bed hauled at the corner, the broken mirror on the wall and then the cobweb-filled wardrobe.
- Without letting her guard down she ventured deeper into the room, checking every corner for a sign of a hidden camera and only resting easy when she was sure there was none. "I'm amazed how you always get this kind of place," Ruby breathed out as she stood by the window overlooking the night city.
- "What can I say?" Tony chuckled and shrugged, a glint of mischief in his eyes. "I'm a man, and I've always lived a bit of a rebellious life. Why else would I just get up and become a fugitive with you?" He stood up from the couch and looked around the small, dusty room. "So this is the kind of life you like?" she asked, curiosity getting the better of her. Tony smiled a secret little smile.
