• Leonardo recognised the new auctioneer as one of the mid-rank council members, he could remember he had had a run-in with the man on multiple occasions when he had business dealings with the council. Some of the guards had the council logo on them, his frown deepened at the revelation that the council would rather bring the dragon pearl to the auction for sale than sell it to them directly, knowing they were in dire need of it.
• "Do you think the council will also get a share of the money gotten from the auction?" Dylan voiced his thoughts, he had also seen the logos on the guards and was able to connect the dots immediately.
• It was unthinkable that the council would lend their guards to the auction house - unless there was some sort of collusion going on. This had to be more than just a business deal.
