Chapter 99 Threats

• It has been quiet since we returned to the Obsidian Pack. There have been no rogue attacks, and the Alphas of the Sapphire and Opal Packs have reached out to apologize. Even though there seems to be peace, I can't seem to relax. Why would Alpha Jasper go through all of that trouble to gain Elara and then just give up? It doesn't make any sense.
• The thought of losing her is keeping me up at night. I lie beside her and run my fingers over her skin, relishing the tingles of the mate bond. It is growing stronger by the day, and so are my powers. It would appear that our bond with Elara is the key to unlocking our full potential. If my powers continue to grow, I am not sure how much longer I will be able to keep it a secret from my brothers.
