Chapter 104 Golden Eyes

• It has been exactly twenty-four hours, and Zeus has yet to return. I am staring at his location on his phone, but he turned it off. Wherever he has gone, he doesn't want anyone to know where it is. I am trying to tell myself that he wouldn't do something stupid, but I know Zeus. He would do anything to make me happy, even if it meant doing something dangerous that I would not approve of.
• My dings with a text message, and I smile when a picture of Cinder and Nix scrolls across my screen. They are swimming in the pond behind the pack house. Cinder is scowling as Nix splashes her with water. They are safely tucked away in the Imperial Pack, and apparently, having the time of their lives. It eases a little of the pain in my chest knowing he is okay.
