Chapter 264 Going Home

• Nathan’s POV
• After the news, we decided it would be best for Amelie to start sleeping at home. The doctor said I was doing well in my recovery, so I’d probably be going home in about a week anyway. Amelie put up a fight at first; she didn’t want to leave my side, but I reminded her that our bed was way more comfortable than a hospital bed and that she could still spend the days with me. We also decided that we wouldn’t tell the kids and Zander until I was home from the hospital and Logan was home from school on spring break. Amelie said the only people who knew about the pregnancy were Trudy, Morgan, and Grandfather. We planned on having a big dinner to announce it to everyone.
• I decided, without the knowledge of any of the kids or Amelie, that as soon as we picked up Logan from school, we’d be taking off to our private island in the Caribbean. I also had arranged for our friends to meet us down there as well. The only stipulation was that it was a surprise for Amelie and the kids. So, we were going to have a big announcement, but Amelie didn’t know where it was going to take place.
