Chapter 21 The Shower

• As soon as Nathan leaves the room, I head to the ensuite. OMG…this bathroom is HUGE, and look at that bathtub. I think it can fit at least four people! I searched through the bathroom drawers and cabinets and found a bottle of expensive bubble bath. Mission number 1…a bath! I start running the water in the tub and pour in the bubble bath. I inhale deeply. It smells like lilies, my favorite. I strip out of my clothes, setting them aside neatly. I have nothing to wear, so I will have to make do with these clothes tomorrow morning until we can go shopping. I’ll just have to go commando underneath them. I remember that I had a hair elastic in my messenger bag to tie my hair up in the tub. I drape the robe around myself loosely and head out to the bed to search for my bag. I take three steps outside the bathroom and realize Nathan has just walked in.
• “Oh my god, Amelie,” he blurts out, turning away, “I’m so sorry. I knocked, and there was no answer. I thought you were in the bathroom. I just wanted to leave you some of my clothes. A T-shirt to sleep in, and a pair of sweatpants. I know they will be big on you, but I figured you could cinch them in.”
• I quickly close my robe and tie it closed. Did I flash my CEO? SHIT! “That’s very nice of you. I better go check the tub.” I scurry as fast as my legs can carry me into the bathroom and slam the door. My heart is racing in my chest as I lean against the door. I move over to the tub and turn off the taps. I sink deep into the soaker tub, the hot water enveloping me. I feel a throbbing between my legs. Did it turn me on for Nathan to see me naked? He’s your boss, for God’s sake, Ame. Oh, the look on his face. I laugh. He looked like a 15-year-old boy caught with a dirty magazine. I close my eyes to relax, but all I see is his face. I feel a warm feeling in my belly and between my legs. Geesh, Amelie, get a grip on yourself.
