Chapter 160 Eyes Open
- Amelie’s POV
- The next five days flew by. We climbed Diamond Head, went on a sunset cruise, visited Makapuu lighthouse, and learned to surf at Waikiki Beach. We also did a catamaran tour from Honolulu and saw humpback whales, sea turtles, and dolphins. Supposedly, that’s the trifecta of sea animals off the shore. My favorite day, though, was when we rented a car and drove around the island. We stopped at beautiful Waimanalo Beach, visited the macadamia nut farm, ate at Giovanni’s Shrimp Truck, and hiked in Waimea Valley. Now, here we are, packing up our suitcases to head to Maui. I need to mention I had to buy an extra two suitcases because I bought so many things to take home, or should I say, Nathan almost bought anything I mentioned I liked, which was totally not necessary.
- I can honestly say I loved the island of Oahu. It’s so beautiful, and I feel closer to my parents being here. Also, the people were friendly and welcoming. They truly treat you like you are ‘ohana.
