• Well, the business trip was a success. We acquired three new investment groups. We had only been aiming for two new acquisitions, but as soon as word got out that we were in the market, companies were falling over themselves to be part of the brand. I wanted to expand Michaels Investment Group to the West Coast. Seattle seemed like a good place to start. I needed to show my grandfather that I wanted his legacy and company to become a powerhouse across the entire country.
• We were on our way home now, and I couldn’t wait to return. Amelie's messages last night took me by surprise. It was so easy to talk to her, and I could honestly say that her texts were the highlight of my night. I wanted to see her but knew I’d have to wait until Friday.
