• I woke up from a deep sleep, gently removing Killian’s head from my lap, so I didn't wake him up. Downstairs, I could hear the front door opening, which might have been what woke me up.
• I didn’t plan on falling asleep, but after his fever dropped, I stayed a few more minutes to make sure he was truly okay. I must have fallen asleep between those minutes. However, as I stood up to close the drapes, I was stunned to see that it was dark outside.
