• Dad dropped me off at school on Monday morning and I was already looking forward to it, mainly because I can’t wait to show off my new braids. I almost feel totally new and if it weren’t for the fact that I still need the support of the crutches, I would have sashayed in while flinging my braids in all directions.
• Who the hell am I kidding? With or without crutches, I do not have the confidence people who do stuff like that possess. After happily waving my Dad goodbye, I walked into the school building, pausing when someone cut in front of me.
