• Humming softly under my breath, I walked slowly down the stairs to join my parents downstairs and my Mom questioning look made me realize I had unconsciously put extra effort in my outfit choice. I looked down at myself as I approached them, convinced it was something I would wear on a normal day and it’s not like I was trying to impress anyone, right?
• “Good to see you in a better mood, I’ll take it as your first day was a pleasant one huh?” Dad teased, picking up an apple from the fruit bowl and biting into it.
