• I could feel the tension in the air. Liam and I sat quietly in the backseat of the car, our eyes occasionally flicking toward Xylene, who was driving. Even the tension among us was still lost since we just finished quarreling with each other. We had no idea why Xylene made the sudden U-turn earlier and although he told us something came up and it was the reason for changing direction, still his mood was tight and rough against us. I could guess the emotion on his face as he stared daggers at nothing in particular. Liam glanced at me, then at Xylene, and I could tell he was just as confused.
