Chapter 71 Sergei, You Already Showed Us!
- Here I go again.
- I've been smiling like a good idiot since the day I arrived at the fair with Sergei, I still have so present the way he defended me from those two idiots who were trying to bother me. I toss and turn on my bed and I have to bite my pillow to keep from screaming like a madwoman and the neighbors end up reporting me for causing a scene in the building. I've had horrible days. Some days I just wanted to give up on myself; but the Italian gave me back the will to live my life, at least I'm starting to believe I'm someone normal.
- I cover myself with my nightgown and my skin prickles as soon as my bare feet touch the cold floor. I walk to my bathroom and take a deep breath to do what I do every day and will do until I die. I look at myself in the mirror where I keep my medications and I raise the corner of my lips knowing that I have changed a bit. My hair is longer than the last time I saw it so closely.
