Chapter 5 May God Keep You And Forget Where

  • 5
  • MAY GOD KEEP YOU AND FORGET WHERE;
  • This is a disaster!
  • Aaron tries to raise his voice to intimidate me, but I quickly climb onto one of the chairs at the table to be higher than him. Maribel, Barbara, and Harold burst out laughing at my childish action, but I felt like I couldn't let that bastard bully me.
  • My stepbrother is almost six feet three inches tall compared to my much shorter stature. My mother was a petite woman, so I had not only inherited her beauty but also her smallness. Dad had to set aside his brandy glass to take control of the situation, and when I say control, I mean the bourbon bottle I have in my hand, about to shatter into a thousand pieces thanks to Aaron Sullivan's thick skull.
  • "For God's sake, Romina Western!" I pulled on the bottle to prevent him from taking it away, but Harold exerted more force, his face full of shame. I felt like it wasn't that big of a deal. What would happen if the bride's son showed up with a split skull on her wedding day? Nothing!
  • "He started it!" I pointed at him like a little girl. "Why do you defend that psychopath instead of your daughter? Do you think a son who isn't yours is so perfect?"
  • Aaron wiped all traces of amusement from his face and sat back down abruptly. I had messed everything up. Sullivan grew up with his father's abandonment, which apparently made him reserved and somewhat violent. Well, not somewhat! Too violent. But one thing I was sure of was that you should never anger this caveman, and I had already crossed the line.
  • I can already feel the embalming fluid on my corpse...
  • "It's true..." declared my stepbrother, taking Maribel's hand. "Who would want to share the same blood as a dead and graceless fly like you?" That... That hurt me. "I have no problem with our parents getting married, but I don't think you and I will ever get along."
  • Dad threw the napkin he was holding on his lap onto the table aggressively, while Mrs. Sullivan covered her face with her hands, her body visibly trembling.
  • "Apologize to Aaron now, Mina," I opened my eyes in surprise.
  • "Why?"
  • I defended myself, but this made Dad's face turn red with anger. I knew when my father hated being challenged, but in this case, I wasn't willing to back down.
  • "Do it now!" he shouted, and I glanced at Sullivan, who was smiling as if he had won the lottery. "We'll be a family tomorrow, Romina, don't ruin it..."
  • "Don't ruin it?"
  • Aaron Sullivan, may God keep you and forget where...
  • “Me...” my voice broke as I saw the joyful face of my damn stepbrother, so I smiled widely showing my teeth” I will do it...” Dad relaxed as the dark-haired man raised his shoulders, taking on an authoritative and dignified posture” I really am sorry...” His dark eyes watched me happily” I'm sorry...” Aaron slipped his hand back under his companion's skirt without Harold noticing” But I'll apologize when I die.
  • Barbara dropped the utensil she held tightly in her hand to the floor, Dad stood up shouting loudly about the embarrassment I caused him while the dark-eyed boy watched me as if he wanted to torture me for life.
  • As best as I could, I got up from the chair and walked with my bag in my trembling hands towards the exit. As soon as the hot air of this summer night hit my face, I couldn't help but smile victoriously.
  • "Don't leave me, Bobbie, much less you, jerk!"
  • "Jerk?"
  • A male voice made me jump, and I wished I could die for real when I saw Samuel at the entrance of the restaurant, and the worst part was that he heard every one of my words. "Today is not my day!"
  • “Me...” "You're the only jerk here, you big idiot!"“ "What are you doing here?"“ I asked in a stern tone of voice, and they hated this about me, every time I was under pressure or felt intimidated or nervous, I acted in this rude way that made people around me sometimes walk away thinking I was a complete b*tch.
  • “I was waiting for you, your stepbrother is a bit...” I smiled, nodding and looking down at Samuel's feet, God! Will he notice that my cheeks are hot?
  • “It's just to annoy me...” I added a little unsure of the things I was saying” Why are you still here? I mean... Why are you waiting?
  • Samuel put his hand in the leather bag to then take out a black pen and walk with pressure towards me, his shoulders looked much wider up close while his pale face had a slight blush on his cheeks.
  • “Could you give me your number?
  • The man in front of me opened the palm of his hand for me to write my phone number on his delicate skin” Sure...” I jumped as I felt his fingers tuck a thick strand of my hair behind my right ear.
  • “So you can see better...” "Adorable! Samuel is too adorable!"“ You couldn't tell me your name because of your stepbrother, will you tell me now or on our first date?
  • “Date?
  • Samuel's glow darkened” Oh... I thought...” the blonde ran his hands over his face with some frustration” I thought we could get to know each other, but I think I misunderstood...
  • We both stared at each other, but I couldn't hold back and broke the silence with my laughter” Okay, okay! I'll tell you my name on our first date.” I wrote my phone number on his hand while Samuel kept watching me” It was nice to meet you, Samuel.
  • I bit my lower lip when his cold lips pressed against my left cheek” The pleasure is mine, sweet girl with beautiful eyes...
  • As soon as I saw him walk away, I couldn't help but jump for joy. God! Kitty needed to know this right now, but my phone fell to the ground as soon as Aaron's enraged face appeared in my field of vision. How long had he been standing there? But the worst part wasn't that, why the hell is he walking towards me as if he wants to kill me?
  • "What were you doing with that idiot?!" Sullivan's voice sounded powerful, the veins in his neck stood out too precisely as if they were about to burst.
  • "We were just talking... Why are you acting like this? My dad isn't here! Stop acting like you're my brother because you know very well that you're not."
  • "Do you think I'm acting?" He scoffed. "I have to take care of you. Do you think men are princes who will tell you how much they love you on the beach and in front of the moon? They want to f*** you! Do you think that guy doesn't want that? Your father told me that..."
  • I pushed him away from me” "Enough!" I shouted from the depths of my being. "You have no right to tell me who I should go out with and who I shouldn't... This role doesn't suit you... Do you forbid me from going out with someone when all you've done since I've known you is sleep around with every woman you come across?"
  • "Mina..." He gasped as he tried to stop me.
  • "Do you know Maribel?" By the expression on his face, I'm more than sure he doesn't. "Stop thinking you're my older brother because you're not, we're not family and we will never be family. Our parents are getting married tomorrow and for their sake, stay away from me..."
  • "Are you going out with him?" He asked, agitated, and I laughed.
  • "I can't?" The words came out unsteady, Aaron unbuttoned the top buttons of his shirt due to the tension of the moment.
  • "You're putting yourself at risk! Do you know that guy? Do you even know where he lives?"
  • "If that's what bothers you, I'll find out tomorrow."
  • Sullivan's eyes filled with blood” "Tomorrow? Why tomorrow? It's our parents' wedding and it's a family thing, are you going to invite him as if that bastard were part of our family? You just met him in a bathroom, Romina!"
  • My stepbrother's breathing was labored, his shoulders rising and falling with the intensity that enveloped his body. I knew his words were true, I didn't know Samuel and although I hadn't planned on taking him to our parents' wedding, it was at least fun to see Aaron completely angry.
  • "He'll come to the party with me, and I already gave him my number so we can have a date after the party..."
  • "Your number?" His right hand fingers pulled forcefully at the strands of his dark, straight hair. "Do you think Harold will agree to this? I'm more than sure that if I say something bad about that idiot, you'll never see him again..."
  • “You can't stop me from going out with him!” My throat burned from my screams” I will go out with Samuel and neither you nor anyone else can stop me... What are you doing?!” I was startled as I felt my stepbrother, Aaron, on top of me. He snatched the bag resting on my shoulder and then opened it, throwing all my things to the ground, including my phone.
  • As soon as he saw it, he started kicking it until it was smashed in front of me” What were you saying?” What the hell just happened?!” Issue resolved, neither your father nor I agree with this and you know very well that now, I am in charge of you...
  • His index finger pushed my forehead, causing my legs to wobble a bit. At that moment, Dad and Barbara were coming out of the restaurant hand in hand with Maribel. They looked so happy that I preferred to keep quiet and get my revenge later.
  • I returned with Harold and his fiancée in Dad's car, as Sullivan would take his girlfriend on his motorcycle to our house. I begged my Nana to refuse my father so that they wouldn't give the joint room to my new stepbrother, but like me, she also lost the battle.
  • I walked to my room once we arrived home, I could hear Maribel's laughter behind me. Aaron was completely sweet on her and I was more than sure they would be having wild sex like animals tonight.
  • I put on my headphones as soon as I heard the door to his room lock. "Bad Romance" by Lady Gaga started playing, blocking my ears from the moans that suddenly erupted from Sullivan's room.
  • I took out the fabric scraps I had cut for my school project and started sewing the edge of the dress I designed for the fashion week at Western University.
  • Stupid Aaron! Samuel must be calling me right now and you ruined everything...
  • I looked at the front door and understood it, if I wouldn't have fun, neither would you, damn stepbrother. I ran to the drawers of my nightstand and rummaged until I found the box of fabric ink I bought to give the final touch to my design. I turned the doorknob and walked out hurriedly towards the room of the guy who has been bothering me since he arrived.
  • The ink will stain his body for at least a couple of days and tomorrow he will show up at our parents' wedding completely blue. Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, I stopped in the middle of the hallway because I couldn't contain my laughter. My knees buckled and I had to cover my mouth tightly when the funny scene of Sullivan as Papa Smurf invaded my mind.
  • I knocked a couple of times on the door and hid on the other side until I heard someone open it. Aaron was shirtless and only wearing black boxers. His hair was subtly tousled, while my eyes were amazed at the bulge of his hardened cock under the translucent fabric of his underwear.
  • My stepbrother was indeed well-endowed!
  • “Who is it, honey?” Maribel moaned in the distance.
  • “I don't know what happened...” The dark-haired guy looked around, turned his feet to go back into the place, so I took advantage and ran as fast as I could to spill the blue ink on his face, however, it only fell on his neck and chest.
  • Aaron looked at me confused, brought both hands to his neck and opened his eyes completely annoyed as the color now soaked his long and thick fingers. The next thing happened too fast, his arms wrapped around my waist when I tried to escape from him. I swear I wanted to disappear from the face of the earth and I didn't understand the magnitude of the situation until I saw how his whole body began to be marked with the same hue as the little smurfs, well, my joy didn't last long as my stepbrother pulled me towards him, now staining me too.
  • “Let me go!
  • I muttered, kicking Sullivan a little, Maribel grabbed her things and left the mansion causing my father's stepson to curse me even worse.
  • “Look what you've caused, little girl!” He snapped, pushing me into his room” Were you trying to take her place?! Is that it?
