Chapter 4 I Want To Die
- 4
- "Do you still love him?"“ I heard Aaron's question behind me, but I ignored it” "I see..."“ my father's stepson positioned himself in front, blocking my way” "I thought you didn't like stray dogs."
- I looked at him with hatred.
- "Don't compare yourself to Hugo, he's a thousand times more of a man than you..."
- Aaron looked at me indignantly, and it was no wonder, what man in his right mind likes having his masculinity trampled on? "I don't think that idiot could make a woman feel what they all feel when they're underneath him..."
- I touched my cheeks feeling an infernal heat. "You're disgusting," I muttered, resuming my path.
- "Our parents want to have dinner together as a family tonight."
- He mocked slowly.
- "Is the wedding on Saturday?"
- "Yes. Will you burst into the church screaming like a madwoman to stop it?"
- I thought about it for a minute, but in the end, I declined the idea. I had spent my whole life watching Harold immersed in our family's university duties, and now, for the first time, I felt that Dad was happy.
- "Does your mother love him?" Aaron followed me to my classroom.
- "My dad left us when he found out I was on the way, and yours gave him the desire to be a woman to Barbara Sullivan. We lived in Spain until I was twenty-three, then he met your father when they were opening another branch of Western University in Madrid, and since then he has been that father figure I never had..."
- Damn.
- "I..." I gasped like an idiot. "I, I, no..."
- "Haha." Sullivan's laughter broke the silence of the fashion design classroom. "You actually believed that nonsense?"
- I grabbed my sketchbook and threw it at his chest. "You're dirty and disgusting!"
- Aaron's cheeks turned red from explosive laughter and his chuckles. After a few minutes, he wiped the moisture from his eyes and spoke seriously that this matter deserved. "My mom does love your dad, he's a good guy..."
- "I think your mom is very nice..."
- "And your dad too..."
- An awkward silence took over both of them.
- I ran my hand through the back of my neck, while Sullivan looked around perhaps searching for something to say.
- "Are we going to be family now?" He extended his hand and I took it.
- "Step-siblings?"
- "Step-siblings!"

- "Bless the hour I accepted you as family, Aaron Sullivan!"
- Dad and Barbara smiled happily at the table Harold reserved for our "Family."
- My new stepbrother arrived with a dark and slender girl who practically begged him with every move to have sex with her. He rolled his eyes as he watched the rough and huge hand of the Spaniard slide cautiously under the table, taking his companion by surprise.
- "How long have you known my son, Maribel?" asked the future Mrs. Western as she brought the edge of her glass of red wine to her lips. Dad kissed her hand, waiting for the response from the idiotic panty-dropper.
- "Since yesterday?"
- I covered my mouth with both hands as I watched Barbara spit out the wine she was drinking. I couldn't help but burst out laughing, because this was so typical of Aaron, women went crazy for him and of course, my stepbrother wasn't one to waste time.
- "They've been dating since yesterday? I mean, they became a couple yesterday?" the mother of the dark-haired boy insisted. "Is that right, Aaron?"
- Her son looked at me and shook his head. "I met her at Romina's party."
- I had to hit my chest because I was choking on my own saliva. Was that idiot blaming me for his promiscuous life?
- "Is she your friend, Mina?" Dad added, looking at me cautiously. But everything got worse when Aaron nodded.
- "My sister told me that..." I pointed at him because I thought it was impossible that he was dragging me into his problems. "Maribel and Romina take the same class, mom... Can she stay with us at Harold's house tonight?"
- I couldn't help but hit the table, making all the diners look at us.
- "Why are they going to sleep at my house, dad?"
- Harold pressed his lower lip and then dried the corners of his lips with a white cloth napkin. "My marriage to Barbara is in two days, so I told them, why wait so long if they can come live with us now?"
- Impossible!
- "Where is her son going to sleep?"
- "Romina! Her name is Barbara, not her... Besides, Aaron is twenty-seven years old and had a life before being my son, so he will decide whether he stays with us or not..."
- We all stared at him, and I swear I have never been a woman of beliefs or religions, but right now I was begging whoever was listening to me that this panty-dropper would deny living with us.
- What would the university think if they found out that this scumbag is my new brother?
- Most likely, all the women whose hearts he breaks will want to hit me! No, no, no! God, save me from this! My teary eyes looked at him pleadingly, Aaron understood my despair and with a triumphant smile, even though I thought we were in a truce for the love of our parents, he said clearly and decisively...
- "I would love to live with you!"
- Damn traitor!
- What does he gain by living with us as an adult? Dad enrolled him in our university to study a master's degree he needed for his profession, but shouldn't he be independent and move away from his mother and now my father?
- "I need some air..."
- Mascullé, getting up abruptly from the table, my dad asked me to sit back down, but the air was escaping from my body. Since yesterday, my life has been a complete chaos, first Bobbie forcing a kiss on me, then my first encounter with Aaron, and then the news of my dad's marriage.
- Tears were streaming down my cheeks, I wanted to escape from here and get lost far away, I wanted to find a place where neither my dad, nor Barbara, nor Aaron existed, I needed Hugo with me right now, but I knew that impossible things don't happen by magic in this world.
- I felt like my world was crumbling, and I felt it when I fell to my knees after tripping over someone coming out of the men's bathroom inside the Italian restaurant that my dad had brought me and his new family to.
- A pair of hazel eyes looked at me surprised” Are you okay?
- I nodded embarrassed” I am...
- Swallow me whole!
- That guy was too handsome and posh, God, why do these things happen to me? His skin was pale as snow, his hair black as darkness while his huge eyes showed me the mystery surrounding the boy from the bathroom.
- “Really? I think your right knee is bleeding, I'm a doctor, if you want I can check you...
- Jesus...
- He looked into my eyes...
- Oh my God!
- Damn it, Romina, stop singing inside your head and connect all your ideas; breathe. A handsome and hot guy wants to touch you... Well, in theory, he doesn't want to touch me, but yessssss, he wants to touch me.
- “I'm here with my father and...
- Sullivan quickly appeared, ruining my perfect conquest atmosphere. Goodbye chances of having a new boyfriend.
- “With me, brother...” Aaron pulled me by the arm to hide me behind him” Who are you?
- The handsome guy from the bathroom looked at me over Sullivan's shoulder and then smiled” Is she your girlfriend?
- The question offended me!
- Do they really think I could date someone like that?
- “No!” I almost burst a lung with my scream, God, help me not to humiliate myself alone” We are step-siblings... His mother is marrying my father and well, he's in big brother mode...
- Aaron twisted his mouth while the mysterious guy smiled again, showing me his perfect teeth.
- “So, how about I see you tomorrow in my office? Oh...” He took out a small but elegant business card and for the first time I pronounced his name.
- “Samuel...
- “And you are?” He snapped trying to reach me, but Aaron took me by the arm dragging me back to the table with our parents. Sullivan put his hand to his head and then complained to Harold.
- “She was with an older guy!” He exclaimed, taking the card out of my hand, his mother stopped what she was doing to pay attention” You told me to take care of her, and that's what I'm doing... Do I have to be behind her all the time? If that's the case... I request that my room be next to hers...
- "What?"
- I complained, her companion touched her lower back, but Aaron was so angry that he rudely and arrogantly separated from her.
- "If that makes you feel better, son..."
- "Dad just agreed to this madness?"
- “Why?!” Samuel was just being nice and...
- My stepbrother burst out laughing—"All guys just want to get in your pants!"
- "And you won't do it with the big-titted girl?"
- I also got up from the table after him.
- The dark-haired man and I stood face to face knowing that neither of us would back down, and I knew that Aaron Sullivan is a nightmare...
- The worst came after, "Did you sleep well today? Because for me, the moans of those two idiots kept me up all night. I want to die!"
