Chapter 6 God Have Mercy On My Soul

  • The dark-haired man kicked open the door to his bathroom with a single blow, holding me tightly with his hands to prevent me from escaping.
  • "What are you doing?!" My question came out fragmented. "What are you doing, you damn bastard? Dad!"
  • Aaron grabbed my neck with his hands in order to turn on the shower and dunk my head under the water. My screams echoed loudly in the bathroom, but neither my father nor Barbara arrived.
  • "Our dads are not here, Tobias called them because they are meeting some friends before the wedding."
  • "Give me back my phone!" I added, watching as the water started turning blue like a Smurf. This couldn't be happening, why was no one home when I needed them the most?
  • "I will...," his chest pressed against my back and I couldn't help but open my eyes as I felt his crotch against my buttocks. "If you promise not to give your phone to anyone... Otherwise..."
  • "What?" I spoke with a threatening tone.
  • "I will make you pay..."
  • Aaron pressed my body against his once more before letting me fall onto the bathroom tiles, the next thing I heard was the slam of the door, indicating that the troglodyte had left the room.
  • The next morning, the Western mansion was in chaos, flowers coming in and out of the property while Dad wandered around the house as if he had lost something. I opened the windows of my room, praying to the heavens that everything would go well for my father and his future wife today, and that with this, Sullivan would realize that we won't spend our whole lives fighting like cats and dogs.
  • The cool summer breeze enveloped me, causing my body to stretch on its own; in the distance, I could see my stepbrother exercising a bit, his hair damp and I had to look away when our eyes connected for a moment.
  • The dark-haired man touched the edge of his wet shirt before lifting it up and pulling it over his head. Sullivan's broad and swollen muscles made me swallow hard as I noticed how damn good he looked today.
  • "Get down!" Aaron shouted, making me tremble.
  • "Why?" I replied indifferently, adjusting the hairstyle that Nana had done for me early in the morning for the ceremony. I was wearing an emerald green dress with silver slippers that Barbara had given me the day we met.
  • "If you're not down here by the time I count to five, I'll throw it away..."
  • The dark-eyed boy raised a white box with the logo of a famous and expensive mobile phone brand in one of his hands.
  • My legs got tangled for a moment, but I ran like the devil was after me and didn't stop until I had him in front of me—Give it to me! I exclaimed, stretching out my hands to grab it, but Aaron lifted it before I could catch it.
  • —I saved your friend Kitty's number, our parents' number, and mine...
  • He said the last part in a strange loud tone.
  • —Why do I need your number?
  • I couldn't help but tease him, Sullivan handed me the phone and I smiled knowing that I could finally contact... How the hell am I supposed to contact Samuel if I don't even know where he lives?!
  • —I hope you listen to what we talked about last night...
  • Last night? I furrowed my brow until I remembered the blue ink on his body, my eyes began to fill with tears from holding back the urge to cry until suddenly I burst into laughter.
  • I could see the blue shining from his neck—HA, HA, HA, HA.
  • I mocked as I pulled down the sports shirt a bit on my stepbrother.
  • —What are you laughing at?
  • I pointed, wiping my tears—You're Papa Smurf! HA, HA, HA, HA.
  • —Papa Smurf? What's that?
  • It can't be...
  • —You didn't see that cartoon when you were little?
  • He denied with no expression on his face—I don't know that Papa Smurf, but I can assure you of one thing, Romina...—His hand gently wrapped around mine and then slowly pulled me closer to him. Aaron's cheek felt warm while his breath with a slight hint of mint filled my nostrils—I'm not Papa Smurf, but I am well-endowed...
  • Holy Mary Mother of God!
  • Christ the Redeemer have mercy on this soul in distress!
  • —You mangy dog! I yelled, aggressively breaking free from his grip. Now it was Aaron who laughed with grace and desire—Damn it! You're a pervert!
  • —Don't you want to see it?
  • The dark-haired pale-skinned man lifted the waistband of his sweatshirt a little and I covered my eyes.
  • —Disgusting!
  • —That's not what the girls who have been in my bed tell me...
  • —I hate you!
  • —Really? I, on the other hand, have a lot of fun with you, oh, darling, before you faint from embarrassment, mom is looking for you.
  • My heart was beating too hard and right now what was best for me was to get away from Sullivan as far as possible. Barbara's bridesmaids began to arrive one after the other, so I went up the stairs directly to the room she shared with my father.
  • I fanned my face a bit before entering her room, trying to shake off the heat that her son left on my body, then knocked a couple of times until I heard her sweet voice granting me permission to enter.
  • —Hello...
  • She spoke, adjusting the golden brooch that beautifully adorned her hair.
  • —You look beautiful.
  • We both smiled at the same time.
  • —Do you think so? She asked, and I nodded, convinced of my words—Did my son tell you to come?
  • “Does something happen, Barbara?
  • “From today on, I will use your father's last name...” I stopped” Aaron uses my maiden name because they never recognized him...” Her voice suddenly cuts off as if it still hurts her” Your father wanted to give him his, but my baby said he was already an adult and although he respected him, he was better off with mine...
  • “Do you love dad?
  • Barbara immediately got up to take my hands; the white dress she was wearing looked beautiful on her” More than anything in the world, I know I'm not your mother, but could you at least see me as one?
  • I nodded after taking out one of the jewels that mom left me, which was blue” They told me that brides should wear something of this color so that their marriage will be happy forever...
  • “Darling!
  • We are both crying, I accept you Barbara, but I will never be able to do it with your son.
  • “Make my dad very happy, please...
  • Harold's future wife took my hand to walk now to the place where he will make the vows with my father.
  • “I will also make you happy, did you talk to the boy in the bathroom?
  • Her eyes were watching me expectantly.
  • “Did your son tell dad?
  • Barbara nodded gently” Yes, but I think... You should also be happy...
  • In the distance, I could see a blond boy dressed in a blue suit holding a bouquet of pink roses in his hands, I looked at Mrs. Sullivan unable to believe it.
  • “How did you manage to contact him?
  • “Let's just say I have a computer company that takes care of the country's security...” My astonished face did not wait. Dad moved at the altar from side to side very anxious, but as soon as he saw his future wife, he stopped dead in his tracks, about to cry.
  • Will I really feel this way on my special day too? Did he feel the same with my mother?
  • Now, I was too excited watching Samuel at the Western mansion that I did not realize the danger that Aaron was bringing with him.
  • Our parents' wedding will turn into a massacre...
  • The smell of cigarettes flooded my nostrils and I know that chaos has broken loose. God have mercy on my soul, because Sullivan will not...
