Chapter 15 Hugo Montero
- The afternoon breeze shakes the fingers of my hand, which I have stuck out the window of the van. Kitty is asleep in her brother's lap, while Paul drives in silence. I glance at my phone and stop smiling when I realize that dad hasn't contacted me since yesterday. - We have been traveling for over three hours, and my whole body feels tired. Even though I should go straight home, I need to make Aarón Sullivan understand that he can't do whatever he wants with me.
- "We're almost there," Paul mutters, glancing briefly at me through the rearview mirror. His green eyes return to focus on the road. The silence becomes uncomfortable.
