• I didn’t waste time. As I maneuvered through the city traffic, I filled her in on everything—the photos, the press conference, Vanessa’s antics at the party, and Ivan being dragged into it all. She gasped, cursed, clutched her imaginary pearls, and at one point, pulled out her phone like she needed receipts.
• “No. Way,” she muttered, scrolling through her notifications. “You really called out everything at the press conference?”
