Chapter 65
- Third POV
- Claire tugged her trench coat a little tighter around herself as she walked down the breezy street to Margeaux’s coffee shop. The early afternoon sun peeked through clouds, a soft warmth soaking into her skin as she slowed her pace. Despite the traffic and pedestrians around, her thoughts were elsewhere. Between the awkward fall with Nathan earlier and the strange bundle Margeaux had called about, her head spun.
- She stepped into the café to the familiar aroma of roasted beans and vanilla syrup. The low hum of conversations and clinks of cups provided a cozy background. Margeaux looked up from behind the counter, her mouth already forming a smirk.
