• The search of Seymour’s apartment began early in the morning, the air thick with the stale scent of dust and tension. Sebastian stood in the dimly lit hallway, his gloved hands folded behind his back, eyes scanning the surroundings with the sharp precision of someone who had done this countless times before. Two officers pushed past him, carrying equipment cases, while another began photographing the exterior before entry.
• “Be thorough,” Sebastian said, his voice low but firm. “Every drawer, every compartment. I don’t want anything missed. If Seymour says there’s a drawer with USB drives, I want all of them intact.”
