• Hastily, I snatched my car keys and rushed towards my vehicle, regret gnawing at me for letting her slip away without explanation. "I should have apologized and admitted my mistake," I chided myself, my thoughts filled with self-reproach. Meredith meant the world to me, and losing her was something I couldn't fathom in my chaotic life.
