Chapter 38 unexpected meeting

• I didn’t go back to my place afterwards. Instead, I went for a walk to clear my head and get a hold of myself. I silently prayed he came after me but he didn’t which made me feel worse.
• Since I had no destination, I just kept walking till I got to the university. I was exhausted from the walking and I needed to rest my legs, so I sat on a bench close to the school. It was a cold night and I had no blanket nor a jacket neither did I have any money. I had forgotten to take some cash with me because I was upset.
• I wondered how I had walked such a long distance and how I would begin walking back to the apartment when someone came and stood in front of me. “Meredith?” I raised my head slightly to see who it was. “Joe?” I was surprised but I soon remembered he was the party type. So, I would obviously run into him anywhere on the street.
