Chapter 43 It's not what you think

• “Meredith!” Christian called as I approached the elevator but, I pretended not to hear him and increased my pace instead. “Meredith, Meredith please wait…” he pleaded. I was already hurt enough and fighting back tears, but I wanted to show him that I didn’t care what he did anymore, so I stopped in my steps and looked back at him. Anna was with him and I immediately regretted stopping. “Oh, hey guys!! What’s up? Why did you run after me?” I asked with a fake smile.
• “Meredith”. Anna walked in front of Christian and stopped. I wanted to punch her right in the gut and damage her face but I refrained myself.
• “Meredith, I know you’re hurting. Just say something, anything… Don’t walk away like that.” She said feeling guilty.
