Chapter 24 Running Into Anna Part 2

• My lecture period were finally over and I was secretly looking forward to the Friday with Christian. I checked my time and it was 5pm. I contemplated on whether or not I should go home to rest a little, or go to work from school because I didn't wanna make a bad impression on my first day. I decided I would go to work from school meaning that I had to stay behind for atleast an hour.
• I made my way to the library but heard someone crying which made me pause in my step. I followed the noise to wherever it came from or probably console whoever it was but was surprised to see Anastasia Vanderwalt sobbing uncontrollably. She probably thought no one was around cause when she saw me, she tried to cover up. "There's no use for pretence" I said and she resumed her sobbing. I went to her to console and mock her a little bit because I was still mad at her. "Hey, what's wrong?? Why are you crying?? All by yourself..." "What do you want bitch?" She said through gritted teeth. She wasn't happy to see me at all. "I don't understand" I said innocently. I knew what she meant but I wanted to play dumb. It was pleasing but also sad seeing her in this state. "You know everything happening to me is your fault right?? So don't think you can just come console me" she yelled then walked out. I was so pissed right now and I really wanted to give her a telling off so I chased after her and easily caught up with her since she hadn't walked so much distance. I grabbed her arm and spun he around. "Hey! Repeat what you said one more time." I dared her. "I said everything happening to me is your fault" she said glaring at me but it was also evident that she was fighting back tears. "Are you serious?? Your misfortunes are my fault?? Who tried to drug me and make me outcast?? Who tried to destroy my reputation before people even began noticing me? And yet you say it's my fault... You never even once apologized and always tried to destroy me whenever you had the chance and you blame for what's happening to you?? No bitch... You're the one who made a fool out of your self so suck it up" I said angrily and was about storming off when she grabbed my arm. "Wait..., I.. I.. I'm sorry" she bowed her head and the tears she's been fighting finally came flowing. "I was so jealous of you. All my life, I've always had everything I wanted and I guess it made me rotten. So whenever you got the attention or got anything I want, it made me furious and ...." She was crying uncontrollably. It was like we were acting some kind of movie. I took her to a nearby bench and sat her down. Then got her water to drink and sat down beside her. "You know, this university is very big and like it or not, people have problems to worry about... Some, if not most of them probably don't even know I exist. This isn't high school you know and we have different majors. You could be the queen of yours if your stop acting like a bitch" I paused thinking about what I just said not exactly sure if it made sense or not. I was so bad at this comforting thing but it was better than nothing. "Look, all I'm trying to say is I just wanted to be friends with you if not sisters and I was glad that I had a roommate like you even if you were always getting on my nerve." I paused to study her face before continuing, "you know what to do to get your life back, do the right thing then you'd see the changes" I finally concluded. " You're really bad at comforting people." she laughed sorrowfully. "But you're laughing now" I said laughing along with her. We were silent for a while then she said. "Thank you so much. And I understood what you meant. Please forgive me for being a bitch??" "It's alright, the pain will fade but the scar will be there" I said without thinking and she felt guilty all over again. "Everything will be okay" I assured her. "I have to get going now... See you around??" I said before taking my leave.
