Chapter 13 At The Café

• Mer's POV
• I entered and saw Christian looking at his wrist watch. He brought out his phone and I guessed he was about dialing me. But, I got to the table just in time. "Hello.... Where you just about to call me??" Upon hearing my voice, he immediately got up and gave me a tight hug. It made me hot all over and I turned red once again. I tried to hide it from him but he already saw it and gave a wide grin. He offered me the sit opposite him and as I was about to pull out the chair, he rushed to do it. I thought he'd be mad about me coming late but instead he was being a gentleman. Cute.
• I sat down and kept smiling sheepishly. He rushed over to his side and sat down. "Took you long enough... What happened??" He asked "and you also look like shit" he added without waiting for me to answer. "Well, I was going through the newspapers to know if there were any job vacancies and didn't know when time went by" I said "and I look like shit???, Bruh go fuck yourself. You know the situation I'm in.." he gave a hearty laugh after hearing what I had said. "I'm sorry. You know I didn't mean it.." he said. "Whatevs... So what are we ordering today?? The usual??" He nodded. I signalled for the waiter to come over and gave her our order.
