Chapter 43 L+A

• A small yet comfortable elevator, going up each floor. The button “10” is pressed which means his apartment is there. I hold my hands together, awkwardness spreads as we say nothing, yet I feel his gaze upon me. I think my face is red, and that he has noticed that. I can’t fall for that, for him, the man that was one of the reasons everything has happened to me. But his eyes are kind, and I can notice the sadness behind the horizon.
• The elevator blinks, and I realize, we are here. He says, “after you”, and I exit, waiting for him to show me which apartment it is . As he opens the door to the one last one at the left side of the floor, my heart panics as I enter inside. It is a normal looking place, with a bunch of stuff laying around, not indicating that a celebrity lives here. And then it hits me, this is like his old place back in the days.
