Chapter 22 THE VOICE

• “Breath”, the voice in my head is back, and this time it isn’t the thing that terrifies me. What is going on? What is really happening? Is this really my friend, bleeding on my floor? How did she get here?
• Oh, right, I remember giving her a key, in case of an emergency, but why is she here now? And most importantly, is she dead?
• I don’t want to think about it, my best lying lifeless, no, not again. I don’t want to relive this again. And for a split second, her face changes, as my mind is blurring the lines of the past and present, turning her to not other than, “Mom”.
