Chapter 19 THE HEIR

• “Adam, drive her to our place”, King says to him, realizing we are not gonna ride together. Maybe he doesn’t want to be seen with me. I’m confused and I just want this night to end.
• I feel Adam’s hand on my back, pushing me forward to his car black SUV. I look as my father enters his lamborghini, but he isn’t the one driving. I sigh, entering the car and see Adam as he closes the door behind me.
• We are driving through the night, this time a lot slower since nothing is rushing us. But he is cold, awkwardness is flowing between us.
