Chapter 36 ME AND DEAN

• The silence that came after was of no surprise to me. The terror on his face, his eyes barely blinking. Why was this a surprise to him? I’m pretty sure they knew the accident happened on the road that connects the town with the forest. Didn’t they realize that I saw through this?
• “Dean?”, I call out his name, trying to snap him out of this. I keep on doing that, whispering mostly, not wanna draw anyone’s attention. “Dean!”, I say one last time till he snaps out of it. “I’m sorry, I’m here”, he finally says something. “So?”, I tell him, having an indifferent look.
• “I just.. I thought you didn’t know. All this time, I felt guilty of what happened to you. But, I would always be reassured, ‘how is it our fault she got in an accident?’. This is what Nina would tell us and I would feel okay. But it was only an excuse to not feel the burden".
