The morning sun filtered through the little cracks in between the heavy blinds of Sarah's office, casting very long shadows across her desk. Yet, the warmth of the day did very little or even nothing to thaw the icy knot of anxiety coiling in the businesswoman’s stomach.
It had been two days since James left her home. Two days since she had been in fear and anxiety of what was going to happen next. The discovery of her children's paternity by James weighed heavily on her, each tick of the clock a reminder of the impending storm that could shatter the fragile balance she had painstakingly built.
