- Sarah lay curled on her side, her back to the bedroom door, staring blankly at the plain white walls across from her. The muted faint rustle of the curtains, and the soft hum of the distant city beyond her windows were the only sounds that accompanied the restless swirl of her thoughts. The blanket that Benicio had placed over her earlier when he came in to see her, was loosely draped over her, more out of habit than comfort. Her fingers tangled in the fabric as though it was her anchor to something solid. Something to keep her steady.
