• By the time Luca returned to the study, it was packed full of over a dozen men and none of them spoke until he arrived.
• His brother, Giovanni, was seated in front of his desk nursing a glass of whiskey with his legs crossed in front of him. His posture and the relaxed manner he carried himself gave the semblance of authority, but Luca knew that it was Bobby standing behind his upholstered leather chair that put the men in order.
