• “How are you doing this morning? Annika was a bit astonished when the new skipper, Captain Bjorn Jansen, welcomed her and even recognized her name. "Good morning, Captain Jansen. You must be Carl's buddy, Annika.
• Annika looked at the new captain and felt like she was seeing Captain Magnus in him. They have the same gray eyes; the new captain is taller, but when they speak English, it sounds the same to Annika. Carl told me a lot about you; we were classmates during university in Kalmar; we were friends.
• He told Annika about his college exploits with Carl and how choosy Carl was with ladies. Annika was just enjoying every tale the new captain was giving. The new captain comes off as nicer and more approachable than Captain Magnus.
